Greek fishing boats

Greek fishing boats have several things in common. For one they’re all painted in beautiful clear and strong colours. It seems as though each fisherman tries to make a unique colour-combination for his boat, because I have yet to see two boats with the same colour-combination. Secondly they’re all made of wood.

This is the most modern fishing boat we’ve seen in Greece, it was in Skiathos.

This boat is also from Skopelos, and I don’t know what name it is, but I had to take a picture of it. I got a mail from Kristin Andersen 8.4.97 telling me that the name on the boat is Katerina in Greek letters. Thanks allot!
